Introduction to Windows 95/98/2000/NT
(4 hours)
Class participants will learn to use the mouse, menu bar, and
dialog boxes; start and switch between applications; manipulate the windows
by resizing, minimizing and maximizing, be introduced to Help, create Start
menu shortcuts, create desktop shortcuts, copy and move icons, use Windows Explorer,
use the Control Panel, create folders, copy, move and delete files and folders,
and change display properties.
Integrating Microsoft Applications
(2-3 hours)
Class participants will learn the capabilities of Windows to
copy data from one application to another. This data can be linked
so the revisions made in the source document are updated in the
linked document. Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) links a graphic
object from one application to another.
This is an advanced class.
Introduction to Windows 95/98/NT or work experience is a prerequisite.
Participants must have a working knowledge of Word and
Excel.
