Introduction to Project
(7 hours)
This course introduces the new user to scheduling projects
using Microsoft Project. Topics include creating and scheduling tasks,
determine dependencies, build a resource pool with associated costs
and assign to tasks. Accepted concepts and principles used in project
management are included in the instruction and applied throughout the
course.
Introduction to Windows 95/98/2000/NT is a prerequisite.
Intermediate Project
(7 hours)
This course continues to build on existing Project skills.
The class focuses on evaluating the plan, tracking the progress of a
project and working with multiple projects. Students will learn how
to change, create, and assign calendars to meet specific project requirements;
evaluate time, resource, and cost factors to determine whether a project
schedule meets their scheduling needs; adjust those factors accordingly;
and track progress to see if project time frames are being met. Students
also customize reports, consolidate projects to facilitate viewing multiple
projects and the sharing of resources, and use subprojects and templates.
Introduction to Windows 95/98/2000/NT and Project or work experience
is a prerequisite.
